Softball Recap: P.K. Yonge Wins Going Away Against Cedar Key

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask P.K. Yonge). They were the clear victor by an 18-0 margin over the Cedar Key Sharks on Tuesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

P.K. Yonge got a massive performance out of Mickinzi Anderson, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits Anderson has posted since back in April of 2024. Sydney Corona was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

P.K. Yonge always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .793. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

P.K. Yonge's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Cedar Key, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

P.K. Yonge wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 14-9 loss against Bradford on the 6th. Cedar Key has also already played their next matchup (against Miami), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
