Despite the loss, Chadron still got an impressive performance from Derek Bissonette, who shot 50% from the field to rack up 18 points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Brayden Linegar, who almost dropped a double-double with ten points and nine boards.
Chase County got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Lukas Fries out in front who went 7-for-11 on his way to 18 points and five rebounds. That's the most points Fries has posted since back in December of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Rau, who shot 83% from the field en route to 11 points along with eight boards and five steals.
Chadron has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-15 record this season. As for Chase County, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 12-12.
Chadron does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Chase County, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 54-50 defeat against Bridgeport on the 24th.
