Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Anderson Indians, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They fell to the Marauders 48-42. Anderson has not had much luck with the Marauders recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Anderson lost on Tuesday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jacelyn Starks, who scored 14 points along with three steals. Gabby Douglass was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with six assists.
Anderson's loss dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Mt. Vernon, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-13.
Anderson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Mt. Vernon will take on the Red Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
