For Southampton's part, Zoe Banks made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and not a single walk). Banks has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, one triple, and one run. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Kayla Brooks and Reagan D'Arco did most of the damage at the plate: Brooks went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI, while D'Arco went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
