Mid-Buchanan suffered their biggest defeat yet this season last Friday. They were dealt a 55-23 defeat at the hands of North Platte. While losing is never fun, Mid-Buchanan can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 138th, while North Platte is ranked 36th).
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Benton beat Kearney 54-49 on Wednesday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Benton.
Mid-Buchanan has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season. As for Benton, their win bumped their record up to 8-4.
