After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Brazos Christian, the Live Oak Classical Falcons were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Central Texas Christian with a sharp 57-32 victory. That's another feather in the cap for Live Oak Classical, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Live Oak Classical to victory, but perhaps none more so than Audrey Pahmiyer, who scored 21 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Pahmiyer is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 11 games she's played. Julia Pitts was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with seven rebounds and six steals.
Despite the defeat, Central Texas Christian saw an underclassman step up: Brynlee Richardson scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ellie Maurer, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Live Oak Classical has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matches, which provided a massive bump to their 18-11 record this season. As for Central Texas Christian, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-18 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Live Oak Classical will take on Faith Academy at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Faith Academy will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Live Oak Classical surely won't give up without a fight. As for Central Texas Christian, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Reicher Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on February 13th.
