They pulled ahead with a 57-56 photo finish over M.L. King. Given Tucker's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 17th, while M.L. King is ranked 105th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
M.L. King lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kennedy Ruzvidzo jr., who scored 14 points along with three steals. Ruzvidzo jr. is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Brown, who scored 12 points.
Tucker's win bumped their record up to 15-4. As for M.L. King, their loss dropped their record down to 14-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tucker will take on Arabia Mountain at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Arabia Mountain has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 347 points over their last five games. As for M.L. King, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lithonia at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
