Baseball Recap: The Covenant School Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

The Covenant School had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Grace Christian School Kings. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Eagles have posted since April 3, 2025.

McKinley Pattie tossed a big game, tossing 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, The Covenant School's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Will Park, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run. Park is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last eight games he's played. Evan Pariseau was another, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

The Covenant School's record is now 9-4. As for Grace Christian School, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. The Covenant School will host Life Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Life Christian Academy has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.41 runs per game on average), something The Covenant School will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Grace Christian School, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Trinity Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Kings' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Gryphons have averaged an impressive 9.8 runs per game this season.
