New Egypt led West Jersey - Freedom in scoring this week after putting up 34 points on Palmyra.
The Panthers' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Zach Berry threw for 167 yards and Kelvin Harmon had 96 yards receiving. On the ground Caliph Wright chipped in 44 yards. Wright helped Palmyra's passing attack out by catching four balls for 60 yards.
Kevin (joshua) Hernando made the biggest impact on defense this week as Palmyra lost to the Warriors. The 5-foot-8 junior recorded one fumble.
Palmyra's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Panthers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Berry has thrown for 637 yards and three touchdowns this season, while Wright has 23 catches for 396 yards. Tai Belford leads the league in rushing with 167 yards.
New Egypt made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 9,670 from 10,535. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 34-6 victory over Tyrone Belford's team last week.
