The BOLCA Prep Eagles had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They walked away with a 53-42 victory over Avalon Academy. That result was just more of the same for these two, as BOLCA Prep also won the last time the pair played two weeks ago.
BOLCA Prep got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was J. Vreen out in front who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 10 rebounds. The match was Vreen's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of M. Ellis, who scored 10 points along with 5 assists and 4 steals.
BOLCA Prep's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Avalon Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
BOLCA Prep's road trip will continue as they head out to face First Baptist Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on December 7th. Avalon Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
