After losing to the Arlington Baptist Eagles the last time they met, the Rockbridge Academy Scots decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Rockbridge Academy slipped by Arlington Baptist 51-50 on Thursday.
When it comes to explaining why Arlington Baptist lost, one person who can't be blamed is Zachary Davis. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 24 points and 14 rebounds. The match was Davis' third in a row with at least ten points. Brendon Brown was another key contributor, scoring 10 points along with 6 rebounds.
Rockbridge Academy now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Arlington Baptist, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rockbridge Academy will take on Perry Hall Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Perry Hall Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Friday.
