Blessed Trinity fell 55-46 to Lassiter on Friday. While losing is never fun, Blessed Trinity can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 276th, while Lassiter is ranked 136th).
Lassiter found their leader in underclassman Claire Mackenny, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kenzie Wyman, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Blessed Trinity bumped their record down to 9-12 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Lassiter, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.
Blessed Trinity will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Sprayberry at 6:00 p.m. As for Lassiter, they will head out on the road to face off against Pope at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
