If the Brownsburg Bulldogs were riding high off their 68-31 takedown of the Cascade Cadets last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Brownsburg received a tough blow on Friday as they fell 60-45 to Fishers. While losing is never fun, Brownsburg can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 40th, while Fishers is ranked first).
Despite the loss, Brownsburg still got an impressive performance from Jordan Lomax, who scored 20 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Brendan Lattimer, who scored four points.
Keenan Garner continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Fishers, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Cooper Zachary, who scored seven points.
Brownsburg has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season. As for Fishers, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 13-0.
Brownsburg on the road again on Saturday and play against Castle at 2:15 p.m. on January 13th. Castle is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 66.6 points per game. As for Fishers, they will head out on the road to square off against Avon at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Avon focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 last Thursday.
