Genoa Christian Academy can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They secured a 40-36 W over Tree of Life Christian. Winning is a bit easier when you nail five more threes than your opponent, as Genoa Christian Academy did.
Genoa Christian Academy found their leader in underclassman Jackson Kirura, who scored 21 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Luke Myers, who scored 11 points along with two steals.
When it comes to explaining why Tree of Life Christian lost, one person who can't be blamed is Ronald Amoah. Despite the final result, he scored 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jesse Kanu, who scored eight points.
Genoa Christian Academy's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-5. As for Tree of Life Christian, their defeat ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-3.
Genoa Christian Academy will head out on the road to challenge Madison Christian at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tree of Life Christian, they will play host again and welcome Northside Christian, where tip off is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Northside Christian will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
