Carter-Riverside will face off against Decatur at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Carter-Riverside will bounce into Monday's game after beating Benbrook, who they had gone 0-8 against in their eight prior meetings. The Eagles walked away with a 45-38 win over the Bobcats on Friday.

Carter-Riverside got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was D'Ani Wilson out in front who dropped a double-double with 21 points and 13 boards. Wilson has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. Massiny Sullivan was another key player, dropping a double-double with 14 points and 13 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Decatur had already won 18 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 47.8 points) and they went ahead and made it 19 on Tuesday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 61-26 win over the Bulldogs. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 22nd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 295th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.
Decatur's win came from a few key players that Carter-Riverside will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Bralyn Peck, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 14 boards. What's more, she also posted a 75% field goal percentage, which is the highest she's achieved since back in December of 2025. Another player making a difference was Maddyx Coffman, who posted 12 points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Decatur smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in 12 consecutive matchups.
Carter-Riverside's record now sits at 17-15. As for Decatur, their record is now 31-4.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Carter-Riverside has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 23.2 boards per game. However, it's not like Decatur struggles in that department as they've been averaging 27 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Carter-Riverside took a serious blow against Decatur when the teams last played back in February of 2021, falling 81-23. Can Carter-Riverside avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
