The Viewmont Vikings will be playing at home against the Roy Royals at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Viewmont unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They took a 47-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of Clearfield.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Mary Carr, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Aubrey Mulitalo, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and two blocks.
Meanwhile, Roy's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fourth straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 43-27 to Box Elder. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Roy has scored all season.
Viewmont's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Roy, they dropped their record down to 5-11 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.
Viewmont beat Roy 58-50 in their previous meeting on January 3rd. Does Viewmont have another victory up their sleeve, or will Roy turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
