Softball Recap: Boca Raton Christian Takes a Loss

Boca Raton Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 19-5 to the Master's Academy Patriots. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-2 back in February.

Jessica Fijol made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Emma Grimm also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Boca Raton Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Master's Academy, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-2.

Boca Raton Christian and Master's Academy will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time Boca Raton Christian sees the field they'll take on Parkridge Christian at 3:30 p.m. on April 3. As for Master's Academy, their break will end when they face Central at 4:00 p.m. on the 31st.
