The Dixon Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight defeat. They received a tough blow as they fell 78-61 to West Carteret. Dixon has not had much luck with the Patriots recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
When it comes to explaining why Dixon lost, one person who can't be blamed is Cooper Tozier. Despite the final result, he scored 23 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Tozier has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Anderson-Sidbury, who scored nine points along with five rebounds.
Dixon has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for West Carteret, they now have a winning record of 10-9.
Dixon will be playing in front of their home fans against the Pirates at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Swansboro will be looking to extend their current 17-game winning streak. As for West Carteret, they will head out on the road to square off against the Cougars at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Croatan focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Tuesday.
