The Overlea Falcons were the 41-19 winner over the Kenwood Bluebirds when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Overlea took a serious blow against Kenwood on Friday, falling 55-7.
Kenwood found their leader in underclassman Diamond Watters, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 13 rebounds. Mackenzie Green was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with 8 rebounds.
Overlea's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Kenwood, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Overlea will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Patterson Mill at 3:30 p.m. on December 19th. As for Kenwood, they will head out on the road to face off against New Town at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
