After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Tri-Village, the Dixie Greyhounds were happy to have found some success on Saturday. They walked away with a 52-41 win over Tri-County North. That's another feather in the cap for Dixie, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Several Panthers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Hannah Webster, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and four blocks. That was a full 36.6% of Tri-County North's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Bella Cherry was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Dixie is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 7-8 record this season. As for Tri-County North, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dixie will take on Newton Local at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
