Softball Recap: Friday's Victory Is Mead's Ninth in Last Ten Outings

Mead's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. Everything went their way against the Ferris Saxons as they made off with an 11-4 win. Considering the Panthers have won nine matches by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Mead is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-2 record this season. As for Ferris, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mead will host Lewis & Clark at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.13 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Ferris, they will be playing at home against Cheney at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
