The East Hartford Hornets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They took a 75-67 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bloomfield. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Monday (59), East Hartford still had to take the loss.
East Hartford's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Josh Ikechukwu, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. It was the first time this season that Ikechukwu scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Justin Victorin, who scored 15 points.
East Hartford's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-8. As for Bloomfield, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Hartford has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Farmington at 6:45 p.m. on February 10th. Hopefully East Hartford focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Wednesday. As for Bloomfield, they will be playing at home against Newington at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Newington has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 981 points over their last 14 games.
