East Duplin waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Heide Trask Titans with a sharp 3-0 victory.

The match came down to the wire multiple times:two sets needed extra rallies to declare a winner. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-15, 27-25.

Zoe Cavenaugh paced East Duplin's offense, picking up nine kills. Cavenaugh got some help from Kinsey Cave and her 14 assists. Finally, Sophia Jones kept East Duplin's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

East Duplin's win bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Heide Trask, they moved to 8-4 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
