Eastern had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. Everything went their way against the Coolidge Colts on Thursday as the Eastern Ramblers made off with a 12-4 victory. The Ramblers haven't had any issues with the Colts recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Lucas Campbell was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Campbell was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Joseph Foskett, who scored two runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Simon Riedel, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Eastern always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .767. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Coolidge only posted an OBP of .500.

Coolidge's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Eastern beat Coolidge by a score of 12-4 later that day.
