In what's become a running theme this season, Orangeburg Prep gave their fans yet another huge win last Tuesday. Everything went their way against Northside Christian Academy as Orangeburg Prep made off with a 49-28 win. Given Orangeburg Prep's advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 18th, while Northside Christian Academy is ranked 135th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Palmetto Christian Academy entered their tilt with Northside Christian Academy with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Palmetto Christian Academy took down Northside Christian Academy 45-31 on Tuesday.
Cokey Suddeth continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 25 points and 11 rebounds. Suddeth is absolutely dominating the point category: she's posted at least 15 every time she's taken the court this season. Adelaide Suddeth was another key contributor, scoring five points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Orangeburg Prep pushed their record up to 12-0 with that victory, which was their eighth straight on the road. As for Palmetto Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.
Everything went Orangeburg Prep's way against Palmetto Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 as Orangeburg Prep made off with a 42-18 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Orangeburg Prep since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
