Narrows skirted past Parry McCluer 54-52. Given Narrows' advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 31st, while Parry McCluer is ranked 282nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Narrows got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kolier Pruett out in front who scored 20 points along with six rebounds. The contest was Pruett's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Elijah Knoetze , who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.
Narrows' win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Parry McCluer, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Narrows will take on Craig County at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Parry McCluer, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Eastern Montgomery at 7:00 p.m. Eastern Montgomery is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.
