The Priory Panthers won the last time they faced the Crystal Springs Uplands Gryphons, and things went their way on Friday too. Priory enjoyed a cozy 61-43 win over Crystal Springs Uplands. Priory pushed the score to 47-23 by the end of the third, a deficit Crystal Springs Uplands cut but never quite recovered from.
Priory was led to victory by Balasz Nyikos and Noah Gallon. Nyikos scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and two steals, while Gallon scored 14 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Gallon also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Harrison Kim, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds.
Despite the loss, Crystal Springs Uplands still got an impressive performance from Vishal Garimella, who scored ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Diaz, who scored five points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Priory is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 8-9 record this season. As for Crystal Springs Uplands, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.
