After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lyman Hall, Guilford was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 19-2 margin over the Shelton Gaels. Considering the Grizzlies have won six matchups by more than ten runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Guilford's victory bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Shelton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-12-1 record this season.

Guilford will host Wilbur Cross at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. The Governors have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 19.08 runs per game on average), something the Grizzlies will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Shelton, they are taking a road trip to square off against Hamden at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. The Gaels' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Dragons have averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season.
