The Milpitas Trojans will head out on the road to take on the Wilcox Chargers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Tuesday, Milpitas sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 49-46 win over Los Gatos. The win was all the more spectacular given Milpitas' disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 265th, while Los Gatos is ranked 124th).
Milpitas got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jacob Wrencher out in front who scored 16 points. Another player making a difference was Isaac Sisay, who scored 15 points.
Meanwhile, Wilcox scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They took down Los Altos 79-60. The win was a breath of fresh air for Wilcox as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.
Milpitas' record is now 14-8. Wilcox's record now sits at 9-13.
Milpitas came up short against Wilcox in their previous meeting back in January, falling 70-58. Can Milpitas avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
