Cocoa (Fla.) extended its winning streak to nine games with a 56-7 victory over Clewiston (Fla.) on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by
Tarean Folston in the first quarter, the Tigers led 35-0 at the half.
Cocoa expanded its lead to 49 points entering the fourth quarter. The Tigers scored two times in the third, including once on a touchdown run by
Jamel Jackson.
The the Tigers raced to 28 in the first quarter alone and never looked back.
Jackson was the top performer for the Tigers. The junior ran for two touchdowns. He has now scored three touchdowns on the season.
The Tigers' lone touchdown came on an 88-yard kick return by Virthavious Robinson in the fourth quarter.
Cocoa came into the game allowing 10.9 points per game.
The Tigers also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 65-0.
