Baseball Recap: Sherrard Extends Winning Streak to Four

Sherrard won against Farmington last Thursday with three runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. The Tigers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 victory over the Rockridge Rockets. Winning may never get old, but the Tigers sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Sherrard saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Garrett Woodward, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Carter Brown also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Sherrard's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Rockridge, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Sherrard will square off against rival Princeton at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Rockridge is set to take on their familiar foe Hall at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
