Zach Shipley to
Michael Barry in the first quarter,
Shelby County (Shelbyville, Ky.) led 27-14 at the half.
Shipley and Barry teamed up to form a dynamic passing combination. Barry has now caught three touchdowns this season.
Bullitt East (Mt. Washington, Ky.)'s
Anthony Doran played well. The senior running back ran for two touchdowns and kicked two extra points.
The Rockets also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 32-13.
The loss comes after Bullitt East defeated North Bullitt 28-0 last week. With the win Shelby County extended its winning streak to three games.
Bullitt East (4-5) will play a non-conference game against Nelson County next week, while Shelby County (7-2) will take on South Oldham also in a non-conference game.
