In what's become a running theme this season, Imagine Prep gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat West Phoenix 83-41 at home. The win was just what Imagine Prep needed coming off of a 84-61 loss in their prior contest.
Imagine Prep's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hayden Kelton, who scored 30 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Kelton has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last six times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylen Cassidy, who scored 11 points along with nine assists and seven steals.
Meanwhile, Dream City Christian Open faced Sequoia Pathfinder Verrado Way in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Dream City Christian Open was beaten by Sequoia Pathfinder Verrado Way 79-51 on Wednesday. Dream City Christian Open's defeat continues an unfortunate trend for the team, making it four in a row.
Imagine Prep's win bumped their record up to 11-1. As for Dream City Christian Open, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.
Imagine Prep didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Dream City Christian Open in their previous matchup two weeks ago, but they still walked away with a 54-48 win.
