Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Miramar Patriots, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They took a 22-17 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Broncos. Miramar's defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
Despite the loss, Miramar still got an impressive performance from Jordan Jones, who rushed for 108 yards and a touchdown.
Joshua Townsend was his usual excellent self, throwing for 165 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 passes for Homestead.
Miramar's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Homestead, their victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-1.
Miramar does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Homestead will be playing at home against Jones at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Jones is coming into the match hot, having won their last eight games.
