The Gibbs Gladiators will face off against the Foundation Christian Academy Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Gibbs is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They came out on top against Southeast by a score of 6-3 on Friday.
Joshua Thornley was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Thornley was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.

Thornley wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Thornley, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in four of his seven plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave Ryan a new career-high in hits (two).
Meanwhile, Foundation Christian Academy waltzed into their contest on Monday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They blew past the Warriors 14-4. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won seven games by ten runs or more so far this season.
Like Gibbs, Foundation Christian Academy also got a great game from a two-way player: Henry Salter. On the mound, Salter struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up four earned runs off four hits. Meanwhile, Gabe Messing pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. At the plate, Salter scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3, while Messing went 2-for-4 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
In other batting news, Foundation Christian Academy let Caleb Hom and Luke Michie run wild. Hom scored four runs and stole two bases while going 4-for-4, while Michie scored three runs while going 3-for-4. Hom has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last eight times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Wyatt Buckwalter, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Foundation Christian Academy's victory was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-1-1. As for Gibbs, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-7.
Gibbs might still be hurting after the 19-1 defeat they got from Foundation Christian Academy in their previous matchup back in March. Will Gibbs have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
