Brindlee Mountain hasn't had much luck against Douglas recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Brindlee Mountain Lions will be playing in front of their home fans against the Douglas Eagles at 4:30 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Brindlee Mountain will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Saturday, then bounced right back against Susan Moore on Tuesday. Brindlee Mountain blew past Susan Moore 10-3. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Lions' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.
Alli Persle made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits (and only one walk). That's the fewest earned runs she has allowed since back in April of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-5 with one home run and two RBI.

Monday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Brindlee Mountain hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .474. However, it's not like Douglas struggles in that department as they've averaged .353. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
