The Lyons Lions will head out on the road to  face off against  the Denver Christian Thunder at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
 Lyons will bounce into Tuesday's   matchup after  beating Strasburg, who they hadn't topped in three consecutive meetings. Everything went Lyons' way against Strasburg on Saturday as Lyons made off with  a  10-2 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for Lyons considering their two-run performance the  contest before.
  Jake LaCrosse was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  struck out seven batters over  seven innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   four  hits (and only one walk). LaCrosse was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring three  runs and  stealing a base while going 3-for-4.
 In other batting news,  Finn Oetting was  excellent,  scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was  Calvin Russell, who  went 2-for-3 with a  stolen base and  an  RBI.
 Meanwhile, Denver Christian came tearing into  Saturday's  match with 11 straight wins  (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.3 runs) and they left with even more momentum. They never let the Golddiggers onto the board and left with  a   22-0  victory.
 Like Lyons, Denver Christian also got a great game from a two-way player:  Mason Reilly. Throwing,  Reilly   tossed  an inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Meanwhile,  Caleb Stork   pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than two  hits in three consecutive pitching appearances. At bat,  Reilly  went 2-for-2 with a  home run, five  RBI,  and two  runs, while  Stork  scored a  run while  getting on base  in all three of his plate appearances.
 In other batting news, Denver Christian got a  massive  performance out of  Asher Hawes, who  got on base  in all three of his plate appearances with a  home run, two  runs,  and two  RBI. Hawes is on a roll when it comes to  home runs, as he's  now  launched  at least one in the last three games he's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Nathan Buehrer, who  went 1-for-2 with two  runs, a  triple,  and  an  RBI.
 Lyons' record is now 15-5. As for Denver Christian, their win was  their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 17-4.
 Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging  on Tuesday. Lyons hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season,  having  averaged 0.4  home runs per game. However, it's not like Denver Christian struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 0.4. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
