On Friday, The Subiaco Academy Trojans faced the Genoa Central Dragons in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Subiaco Academy breezed by Genoa Central on the road to the tune of 52-22. The victory was nothing new for Subiaco Academy as they're now sitting on six straight.
Brody Koch continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 169 yards and four touchdowns, while also picking up 117 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Koch is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last five games he's played.
Subiaco Academy's win was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 8-1. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-7 Marshall and 1-6 Rose Bud (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 27.2% over those games). As for Genoa Central, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Subiaco Academy will take on Corning at 11:45 a.m. on Friday. Corning is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Genoa Central, they will be playing at home against Rose Bud at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Arkansas (Rose Bud is ranked 26th, while Genoa Central is ranked 11th).
