Kennadie Blackmer was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out 15 over six innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March of 2025. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI.
Blackmer wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Kailee Hall, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.
Meanwhile, Clearfield got themselves on the board against Northridge on Thursday, but Northridge never followed suit. They blew past the Knights 15-0. That looming 15-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Falcons yet this season.
Hannah Hensley looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Skylar Davis was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Brynn Nicholls, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, two RBI, and one double.
Clearfield kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Northridge only managed one.
Box Elder's record now sits at 11-0. As for Clearfield, their record is now 9-1.
Clearfield's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Box Elder has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.9 hits per game. It's a different story for Clearfield, though, as they've been averaging 8.8 hits. Given Box Elder's sizable advantage in that area, the Falcons will need to find a way to close that gap.
Box Elder got the 'W' when the teams last played back in April of 2025 against Clearfield by a conclusive 11-3 score. Will the Bees repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
