Grace Christian scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They secured a 85-80 W over Tolsia. Winning may never get old, but Grace Christian sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Tolsia lost, one person who can't be blamed is Parker Watts. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 54 points and 11 rebounds. That was a full 67.5% of Tolsia's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Cj Waller, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Grace Christian has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-11 record this season. As for Tolsia, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grace Christian will take on Teays Valley Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Teays Valley Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight last Thursday. As for Tolsia, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Expression Prep Academy at 7:00 p.m. on February 7th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in West Virginia (Expression Prep Academy is ranked 45th, while Tolsia is ranked 63rd).
