Basketball Recap: Jackson Preparatory & Early College Has No Trouble Against Pansophia Academy

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Vandercook Lake, Jackson Preparatory & Early College was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They enjoyed a cozy 59-42 victory over the Pansophia Academy Pansophia Pumas. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 68-43 back in December of 2024.

Pansophia Academy's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Blake Reed, who went 6 for 7 to rack up 15 points. Thanks to that strong game, Reed now owns an excellent 46.6% field goal percentage. Luis Martinez was another key player, going 6 of 14 on his way to 16 points and five assists.

Jackson Preparatory & Early College now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Pansophia Academy, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jackson Preparatory & Early College won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Will Carleton Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Will Carleton Academy will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something Jackson Preparatory & Early College surely won't give up without a fight. As for Pansophia Academy, they will square off against Litchfield at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
