Jamestown is 6-1 against the since December of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Jamestown Muskies will be staying on the road to face off against Portersville Christian at 6:00 p.m. on February 5th. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
On Friday, Jamestown had to suffer through a rough 82-20 loss at the hands of the Steelers. While losing is never fun, Jamestown can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 681st, while the Steelers are ranked 216th).
Meanwhile, Portersville Christian came up short against the Royals on Friday and fell 49-40.
Jamestown has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season. As for Portersville Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.
Everything came up roses for Jamestown against the in their previous matchup back in January of 2023 as the team secured a 84-42 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Jamestown since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
