Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Archmere Academy Auks walked away with it. They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat the Raiders 56-28 at home. The victory was familiar territory for Archmere Academy who now have eight in a row.
Miles Kempski was a one-man wrecking crew for Archmere Academy as he rushed for 157 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 carries, and also threw for 171 yards and two touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Drew Duncan, who picked up 111 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Archmere Academy's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 44.2 points per game. As for Woodbridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-3.
Archmere Academy will head out on the road to face off against Caravel at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Caravel is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Woodbridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
