Marmonte - West recap Oct. 30, 2012
Oaks Christian's Francis Owusu rumbled for the longest rushing play in Marmonte - West this season in his game against Moorpark last week. Owusu's team beat the Musketeers as he sprinted for 90 yards on the play and finished with 178 in all.
Oaks Christian extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Moorpark, 55-7. The victory was the fourth in a row for Jeff Woodruff 's team.
Richard Poutier threw for 168 yards and two touchdowns. He was 16-25 with two interceptions.
Owusu was the best wideout in the league this week as the Lions defeated the Musketeers. Owusu tallied two receptions for 56 yards. Chris Davis helped Oaks Christian's passing attack out by catching two balls for 24 yards.
Thanks to the talents of Clark Abourisk and Nathan Debeikes Thousand Oaks has been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Abourisk leads the league in passing with 1973 yards, while Debeikes has rushed for 847 yards this season. Oaks Christian's Owusu leads the league in receiving yards with 746 on 40 catches.
Entering into this week's contest against Newbury Park, Abourisk is short just 27 passing yards to break 2,000 on the season.
Agoura and Calabasas played the most hotly contested game in Marmonte - West this week, with Agoura eventually emerging with a 41-38 victory. Poutier ran for 138 yards in the win.
