Excel Christian got off to a slow start in their match last week, but they had no such trouble against Whittell as they cruised to a 16-point first half. Whittell had no such difficulty scoring and set themselves up with a advantage heading into the break. The Excel Christian offense took control in the second half, however, scoring 42 points. The win got Excel Christian back to even at 3-3. The defeat dropped Whittell's record to 2-3.
Excel Christian will stay at home next week against Sierra Lutheran at 1:00 PM. Sierra Lutheran also lit up the scoreboard in their last matchup, so this could be a high-scoring matchup. As for Whittell, they will face off against Virginia City. Both of those teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
