It's playoff time, and Port Angeles had no trouble coming through when it counted. Everything went their way against the Woodland Beavers on Friday as they made off with an 8-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Roughriders, who have now won 13 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

The victory was the seventh in a row for Port Angeles, bringing their record up to 18-2-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Woodland, the loss snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 15-8 record.

Coming up, Port Angeles will take on Mark Morris at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Roughriders 2.9, the Monarchs 1.5) so any runs scored will be well earned. Woodland has already played their next matchup (against Cedarcrest), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
