Alburnett barely beat Jesup the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Pirates put the hurt on the J-Hawks with a sharp 13-1 victory on Wednesday. Considering the Pirates have won nine matches by more than nine runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Alburnett's win bumped their record up to 17-12. As for Jesup, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-19 record this season.

Coincidentally, Alburnett and Jesup will both be playing Aplington-Parkersburg the next time they take the field. The Pirates will host the Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the J-Hawks will head out to face them on Saturday.
