After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Rockledge, the Edgewood Red Wolves were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They secured a 49-43 W over Calvary Chapel Academy. That six points margin sets a new team best for Edgewood this season.
Edgewood found their leader in underclassman Brayden Wasdin, who scored 18 points along with four steals. Corbin Snyder was another key contributor, scoring three points along with five assists and three steals.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kaleb Steiger, who scored 15 points along with two blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Adema, who scored 15 points along with five steals.
Edgewood's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-10. As for Calvary Chapel Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-8.
Edgewood won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Cocoa Beach at 5:30 p.m. on January 17th. Cocoa Beach is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for Calvary Chapel Academy, they will face off against Old Plank Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
