Even though the Grantsville Cowboys scored an imposing 63 points on Wednesday, the Ridgeline Riverhawks still came out on top. Ridgeline took their match against Grantsville 76-63. That's another feather in the cap for Ridgeline, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Emilee Skinner had an outrageously good game as she scored 26 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 assists. That makes it two consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Ridgeline's points. Another player making a difference was Elise Livingston, who scored 13 points along with 3 steals.
Grantsville's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Avery Allred, who scored 25 points along with 6 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kodee Williams, who scored 25 points.
The victory makes it two in a row for Ridgeline and bumps their season record up to 2-0. As for Grantsville, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-1.
Ridgeline will head out on the road to face off against Lone Peak at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Grantsville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cyprus at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Cyprus focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Tuesday.
