The Hemet Bulldogs have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the San Jacinto Tigers at 6:15 p.m. on December 7th. Hemet has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 429 points over their last six contests.
Last Tuesday, Hemet took their match at home with ease, bagging a 76-38 win over Miller. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 55-14.
Juaquin Martinez continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 27 points. The game was his 11th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Matthew Torres, who scored 15 points.
Meanwhile, even though Yucaipa scored an imposing 64 points on Saturday, San Jacinto still came out on top. San Jacinto took their matchup against Yucaipa 73-64. The victory made it back-to-back wins for San Jacinto.
San Jacinto can attribute much of their success to Josiah Mejia, who scored 23 points along with 7 assists and 7 steals, and Stephen Castleberry, who scored 30 points along with 6 assists and 5 steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which Mejia has scored at least 25% of San Jacinto's points. Brian Kincherlow was another key contributor, scoring 10 points.
Hemet has yet to lose a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 9-2 record. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.0 points per game. As for San Jacinto, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.
Thursday's game is shaping up to be a blowout: Hemet hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having only averaged 62.9 points per game. It's a different story for San Jacinto, though, as they've been averaging only 60.1 per game. The only thing between Hemet and another offensive beatdown is San Jacinto.
